Crews at Community High School are part of a mentoring program based on the principles of our Expeditionary Learning Outward Bound (ELOB) model. Faculty members offer activities about which they are passionate, and students choose the activity in which they would enjoy participating . Thus, the crews are formed.
Crews meet every other Friday for 45 minutes at the end of the school day.
We have 10-12 students this year in the Martial Arts Program at Community High School.
We will strive to help our student to set goals that they can achieve in school and in the
martial arts. Crew will meet every other week for 45 minutes, during this time will go over
Self-defence techniques that will help our students say out of trouble.
The Martial Arts will empower our students to:
- Avoid unsafe places and people
- Have Goals
- Always be Aware
- To have self-control
- To respect themselves
- To Defend themselves by helping them to think
- To Defend themselves by force if need be
and this is just the start..
Each Member of the Martial Arts Crew will be required to take a Wavier Form home to their parents and
have it signed and returned before they can take part in crew activity's.
Wavier Form
These forms are kept on file by the Instructor of the Martial Arts Program and at any time will be made available
to the Parents or legal Guardian.
